Serhat Barış — Biography
Serhat Barış was born on 26 June 1985 in Istanbul. He completed a Horse Training program at Kocaeli University's Körfez Vocational School and worked for a time as a civil servant.
In 2009 he won the Lions Theatre Award for Best Actor in İzmir for playing Vanzetti in the stage play Sacco ile Vanzetti. In 2010 he left his government job to pursue acting, studied performing arts at Dokuz Eylül University, and graduated in 2014, settling in Istanbul. Around that time he joined the cast of the TRT 1 series Diriliş Ertuğrul, where his portrayal of Tristan brought him wide recognition; it remains the best-known role of his career. His name has since come up in a few further film and television projects.
