Semra Özdamar — Biography

Semra Özdamar (born 11 January 1956 in Bursa) is a Turkish film actress and writer. One of the best-known female faces of the golden age of Turkish cinema, she is remembered above all for her role as the literature teacher Semra Hoca in "Hababam Sınıfı Sınıfta Kaldı".

Active throughout the 1970s, Özdamar played the character Zeynep in "Anadolu Ekspresi" (1973) and also appeared in "Arkadaş" (1974), directed by Yılmaz Güney. Her screen career spanned roughly the years 1973 to 1978, after which she withdrew from acting; she is also known as a writer.
