Sabahattin Yakut — Biography

Sabahattin Yakut is a Turkish actor born in 1981 in Istanbul. A conservatory-trained performer, he began his career with theater training and, from the late 2000s onward, took on regular roles in numerous Turkish television series.

Yakut completed his acting training in the Theater Department of Anadolu University State Conservatory, later carrying this stage-based academic background into his work in front of the camera.

His screen career began with the 2009 series Bu Kalp Seni Unutur mu?, whose cast also included Berrak Tüzünataç, Okan Yalabık, and Bülent Alkış; following this production, in 2011 he appeared in Keşanlı Ali Destanı alongside Nejat İşler, Meral Çetinkaya, Celil Nalçakan, and Algı Eke. In 2012 he joined the cast of İnsanlar Alemi, which featured Ali Sunal, Alper Kul, Bülent Emrah Parlak, and İrem Sak.

In 2014 he appeared in two separate series at once: Kızıl Elma, starring Aslıhan Güner, Pelin Akil, Furkan Palalı, and Burak Sergen, and Şeref Meselesi, featuring Burcu Biricik, Kerem Bürsin, and Hakan Salınmış. In 2016 he appeared in Tatlı İntikam, in which Furkan Andıç, Leyla Lydia Tuğutlu, and Büşra Develi shared the lead roles, and in 2017 in 7 Yüz.

One of the productions that brought him the most recognition was the 2018 series Muhteşem İkili, broadcast on Kanal D, in which he played the character Volkan alongside Kerem Bürsin, Eren Hacısalihoğlu, Alper Baytekin, Gökay Müftüoğlu, and Özbek Kaplan. According to press reports, in later years the actor also appeared before audiences as the character Emrullah in Gülcemal.
