Miraz Bezar — Biography
Miraz Bezar (born 1971 in Ankara) is a German-Kurdish film director, screenwriter, producer and editor.
He first became known for short films such as Berivan and Freiwild, before his 2009 feature Min Dît (Before Your Eyes) brought him wide recognition. Shot in Kurdish, the film competed for the Golden Orange in Antalya and won numerous awards at home and abroad. Bezar has also adapted and directed works for the stage, including Das Märchen vom letzten Gedanken and §301 – Die beleidigte Nation.
