Melis Babadağ — Biography

Melis Babadağ was born in Ankara on 17 January 1984. She graduated from Üsküdar Anadolu High School in 2001 and from Marmara University's Faculty of Fine Arts, interior architecture department, in 2007. Having first performed on stage at the age of five and taken part in amateur theatre through her school years, she began appearing in commercials from 2002 and prepared for acting under teachers Ayla Algan and Ergün Demir. Her professional debut came in 2009 as Emine in the TRT 1 series Cam Kırıkları, and that same year she played Didar in Aile Saadeti on atv.

She became widely recognised for playing Elçin in the Show TV youth drama Pis Yedili between 2011 and 2014, followed by the role of Zümrüt in TRT 1's Yeşil Deniz. On the big screen she took the lead in the Aykut Enişte film series, and in 2026 she took on the part of Özlem for the series Daha 17. Alongside acting she has long practised interior architecture, pursues painting and sculpture as an amateur with her own exhibitions, and volunteers for causes supporting children's health and development.
