Melis Babadağ — Biography

Melis Babadağ is an actress whose career runs from television series to cinema, and who is also an interior architect and amateur painter. She reached a wide audience as Elçin in the teen drama Pis Yedili and took the lead in the Aykut Enişte films. In 2026 she plays Özlem in the series Daha 17.

She first appeared on stage at five and grew up in Adana; she finished Üsküdar Anadolu High School and studied interior architecture at Marmara University's Faculty of Fine Arts. At school she acted in amateur theater, from 2002 she appeared in commercials, and she took acting lessons from Ayla Algan and Ergün Demir. Her professional start came in 2009 with the series Cam Kırıkları and Aile Saadeti, followed by Geniş Aile, Pis Yedili from 2011 to 2014 and Yeşil Deniz in 2014. In film she appeared in Beni Unutma, Oğlan Bizim Kız Bizim, Aykut Enişte and Aykut Enişte 2, and she also had roles in the series Barbaroslar: Akdeniz'in Kılıcı and Benim Güzel Ailem.

She practiced interior architecture for a long time, has painted since the age of three, later added sculpture, and opened her second solo exhibition at DG Art in 2025. She is a board member of the SosyalBen Foundation, and in 2016 spoke at a meeting drawing attention to rheumatic diseases in children.
