Mehmet Bozdoğan — Biography

Mehmet Bozdoğan was born in Berlin on June 4, 1977, and holds both German and Turkish citizenship. He trained as an actor at the Transform Schauspielschule and began his stage career in Berlin, appearing at venues including the Hebbel-Theater, Teatr Studio, Tiyatrom, and the Diyalog TheaterFest, and working under director Meray Ülgen at the Wupper-Theater.

In film and television he initially took mostly minor parts, often required to speak broken German despite being fluent in standard German, English, and Turkish. His best-known role came in the ZDF crime series Der Kriminalist, where he played police detective Bülent Çelik across the second and third seasons. In Turkish cinema, his credits include Time You Change (2010), Zenne (2011), Gözetleme Kulesi (2012), Macho Man (2015), and Uyanış: Büyük Selçuklu (2020).

He currently plays the character Yavuz in the series Sahipsizler.
