Mehmet Ali Erbil — Biography
Born on 8 February 1957 in Istanbul, Mehmet Ali Erbil graduated from the Theatre Department of the Ankara State Conservatory before building a career that spans stage, film, television series and television hosting. Active on Turkish screens since the 1980s, he has appeared in more than 30 films and more than 10 television series and stage plays, and has hosted more than five television programs.
He is known for roles in widely watched productions such as the Hababam Sınıfı film series, Kahpe Bizans, Hırsız Var!, Keloğlan Karaprens'e Karşı and Maskeli Beşler: Kıbrıs, and continued his film career with 2024's Bakkal Amca: Mahmut Tuncer. He has previously been treated for a rare condition known as capillary leak syndrome.
