Gülsim Ali — Biography
Gülsim İlhan Ali (born 18 February 1995 in Ruse) is a Bulgarian-born Turkish actress and model. Born into Bulgaria's Turkish minority, she holds dual citizenship. She turned to acting after taking part in beauty pageants and made her television debut in the 2012 series Son Yaz Balkanlar 1912. Some film databases give her year of birth as 1993, but most sources record 18 February 1995.
She reached a wide audience as Aslıhan Hatun in the third and fourth seasons of Diriliş: Ertuğrul. Alongside historical drama she has worked in family comedy: she played Zeliha in Seddülbahir 32 Saat and appeared in the series Hanım Köylü, Yüzleşme, Payitaht Abdülhamid, Gönül Dağı and Al Sancak. On screen she has featured in the films Kurtuluş Hattı (2022) and Geçmişin Kokusu (2025), and in the international production The Hunter (2023) as Nadia Ivanov.
In 2025 she joined the cast of the series Bereketli Topraklar. In 2026 she drew attention for her appearance at the Cannes Film Festival and for interviews about the exclusionary remarks she faced as a child and the body-image pressures of the industry.
