Gani Müjde — Biography

Born on 27 November 1959 in Istanbul, Gani Müjde is one of the leading figures of Turkish humor and cinema, known for his work as a writer, cartoonist, screenwriter, and director. A graduate of Mimar Sinan University's Cinema-Television department, he began his career as a teenager drawing cartoons for the humor magazines Gırgır and Fırt, later became editor of the magazine Laklak, and wrote the "Peynir Kemisi" column in Limon, a humor magazine he launched together with close friends.

Through his own production company, Tükenmez Kalem, and his interview program Gündem Dışı on NTV, Müjde became a familiar presence in Turkish media before reaching a wide audience with his 2000 film Kahpe Bizans. In the years that followed he wrote, directed, and produced numerous television series, including Akasya Pasajı, Yahşi Cazibe, Pis Yedili, and Ankara'nın Dikmeni, establishing himself as one of the most prolific figures in Turkish television comedy.

In 2026 he returned to cinema with the film Başıbozuklar, co-starring Gözde Kansu, and continues to draw public attention with his social media commentary on current social and political issues.
