He met hip hop culture in his high-school years. After returning to Germany in 1989 he wrote his first rap song, in English, in 1992, and from 1995 wrote in Turkish. He performed at Berlin jams, interviewed acts such as the Beastie Boys, Nas and the Fugees for the magazine Miks News, and taught rap workshops to children. The Hassickdir? series made his name; his joint album with Killa Hakan, Rapüstad, appeared in 2003, and in 2002 he featured on RZA's The World According to RZA. From September 2004 he worked in Turkey: he released Her Ayın Elemanı (2005) and Kalbüm (2009), toured with Ceza, appeared in the series Pusat and sat on the jury of the contest Rapstar.

His 2019 album Omurga, the first after a ten-year break, dealt with the Gezi Park protests and social problems. It was followed by the Krematoryum EP (2021) and the album 50 Kalibre (2022). He also took part in Halil Altındere's video Wonderland, which entered the collection of New York's MoMA, and had a small part in the film Hep Yek.
