Esra Bezen — Biography

Esra Bezen was born on 13 February 1973 in Ankara. She graduated from the Theatre Department of the Ankara State Conservatory at Hacettepe University.

From 1997 onwards she worked at the İzmit City Theatres, gaining her stage experience over many years in theatre. She made her cinema debut in 2004 with the film Korkuyorum Anne, and went on to appear in the films Kusursuzlar (2013), Silsile (2014) and Ana Yurdu (2015).

In 2017 she reached a wide audience by portraying the character Şükran in the series Bizim Hikaye, broadcast on Fox TV, whose leading roles were shared by Hazal Kaya, Burak Deniz and Reha Özcan. She is married to the actor Mehmet Ergen.
