Esra Bezen Bilgin — Biography
Born in Ankara in 1973, Esra Bezen Bilgin is a Turkish stage and film actress who graduated from the Theatre Department of Hacettepe University's Ankara State Conservatory. From 1997 she was a member of the Kocaeli City Theatre ensemble, appearing in numerous productions, and also performed in independent shows and plays staged by Aksanat New Generation Theatre.
She entered film with a role in Reha Erdem's 2004 feature Korkuyorum Anne (I'm Afraid, Mother), later appearing in Kusursuzlar (2013), Consequences (2014) and Ana Yurdu (2015). Trained in puppet design, she also worked as an assistant director on the puppet plays Nasreddin Hoca, Kuva-yı Milliye and Bin Varmış Hiç Yokmuş.
She is married to theatre director Mehmet Ergen, and the couple have a son named Gece.
