Emre Karayel — Biography

Emre Karayel (born 18 October 1972 in Kadirli, Osmaniye) is a Turkish actor and television presenter. After gaining a place in the economics faculty of Gazi University, he switched to the theatre department of Bilkent University and began his professional stage career with plays such as Ghetto and Azizname.

He became known through series including Bir İstanbul Masalı (2003), Sayın Bakanım (2004), Gümüş and Kurtlar Vadisi Pusu, but his real breakthrough came with the romantic comedy 1 Kadın 1 Erkek, in which he starred opposite Demet Evgar for eight seasons, followed by the continuation 1 Erkek 1 Kadın 2 Çocuk.

He made his film debut in Onur Ünlü's Polis (2006) and went on to appear in Zincirbozan (2007), Başka Dilde Aşk (2009), Erkek Tarafı: Testosteron (2013), Robinson Crusoe & Cuma (2015), El Değmemiş Aşk (2016) and Düğüm Salonu (2017).
