Elif Sönmez — Biography
Elif Sönmez was born on 20 November 1978 in İstanbul. Before turning to acting, she studied sculpture at the Milan Academy of Fine Arts.
She made her television debut in 2005 with the series Yağmur Zamanı, and went on to appear in productions such as Asi, Sonsuz, Reis, Karadayı, Son and Koyu Kırmızı. In 2017 she played the character Meral in the Fox Tv series Dayan Yüreğim, and in 2019 she portrayed Cemile in the series Doğduğun Ev Kaderindir.
She continued her career in 2021 with the role of Maksude Payidar in the series Aziz. Sönmez is married to actor Burak Gürmeriç.
