Çiğdem Selışık Onat — Biography
Çiğdem Selışık Onat is a Turkish stage and screen actress born on 14 May 1939 in Ankara. After completing her education at Robert College, she studied at Istanbul University's Faculty of Letters, and during her university years became one of the founders of the Genç Oyuncular (Young Actors) theatre group.
Over her career in film and television, Onat played Süreyya in the 2017 film Red Istanbul and Firdevs in another film released the same year. She has also appeared on Show TV in a series playing the character Neriman.
Onat has received several honors for her work, including the Golden Orange Film Festival's Best Supporting Actress award, and remains one of the notable stage-trained actors of Turkish cinema and television.
