Cenk Kangöz — Biography

Cenk Kangöz is a Turkish film and television actor, born in Istanbul on 2 December 1974. He prepared for the profession with on-camera acting and diction classes at Akademi 35 Buçuk. Over his career he has been associated mostly with hard, menacing supporting characters, and he has said in an interview that he enjoys playing villains.

His first significant television work was Kurtlar Vadisi Pusu, followed by the role of Yaşar in Fatmagül'ün Suçu Ne?. His real breakthrough came with the ruthless Hasan in Medcezir. In Diriliş Ertuğrul, broadcast on TRT, his character Philip won over viewers, and he left the series at the end of 2016. His credits also include Eşkıya Dünyaya Hükümdar Olmaz, Kördüğüm and Azize. Later he played Hiram in Vurgun, Cemal in Kırmızı Oda, Mesut in Üç Kuruş and, in 2024, Babür in Aile.

On the big screen he started with the 2009 comedy Kolpaçino: Bir Şehir Efsanesi, followed by G.D.O. KaraKedi in 2013. In 2022 he played Dragan in the film Adanış: Kutsal Kavga. In January 2026 it was reported that, during a ski holiday in Sarıkamış, a shuttle driver pulled a gun on him and a friend and threatened to kill them; an investigation was opened.
