Bülent Ceylan — Biography
Bülent Ceylan (born January 4, 1976, in Mannheim) is a German comedian and Kabarett artist of Turkish descent. His stage characters play on the quirks of Germans from Turkish family backgrounds and of the people of Mannheim, delivered in the local Mannheim dialect.
Through his stage shows and television appearances he became one of Germany's best-known comedians; in 2011 he hosted Die Bülent Ceylan Show, and in 2018 he appeared in the film Verpiss Dich, Schneewittchen.
His honors include the Bambi Award, the Civis Media Prize and the Order of Merit of Baden-Württemberg; in 2018 he also received the German reading prize.
