Baykal Saran — Biography
Baykal Saran (1937, Kütahya – 28 July 2006, Istanbul) was a Turkish theatre, film and television actor and director. Trained at the Ankara State Conservatory, he remained active from 1956 until 2005.
His television work included series such as Küçük Ağa, Parmak Damgası, Kuruluş/Osmancık (as Ertuğrul Gazi), Ferhunde Hanımlar and Havada Bulut. He became widely known to audiences as the mafia boss Hüsrev Ağa in the series Kurtlar Vadisi.
He died in Istanbul in 2006. The Baykal Saran Theatre Award, established in his memory, continues to be presented today.
