Barış Alpaykut — Biography

Born Metin Barış Alpaykut on 20 July 1987 in Istanbul, the actor graduated from Istanbul University's Department of Theatre in 2009. He began his on-screen career appearing in commercials before landing his first professional role in the series Bir Zamanlar Osmanlı Kıyam, followed by parts in Sakarya Fırat, Kurt Seyit ve Şura and Medcezir.

Alpaykut is best known to wider audiences for his role in the series Kara Sevda. Alongside acting, he is known for roughly 15 years of training in samurai and traditional karate disciplines. He married Tunisian-born Nurus El Fadlaoui and currently lives in Japan.
