Anna Andrusenko — Biography
Anna Andrusenko is a theatre-trained actress working in Russian television and film. Audiences in Turkey know her from the 2012 film Elveda Katya, a Turkish-Russian co-production in which she played Katya opposite Kadir İnanır, a performance that won her Best Actress at the 49th International Golden Orange Film Festival the same year.
She took her first steps on stage as a child in Sochi, where her family moved from the Donetsk region when she was six. Even in primary school she attended acting classes outside lessons and took part in morning performances. After a short spell at the socio-cultural activities faculty of a local university, she left for Moscow, entered the M. S. Shchepkin Higher Theatre School and studied under Boris Klyuyev, graduating in 2012. Her screen breakthrough came with the mystical teen series Zakrytaya Shkola (The Closed School), in which she played Elizabeth Vinogradova, a sixteen-year-old girl with a heart condition.
In her graduation year she was cast in the lead of Angel ili Demon (Angel or Demon), the Russian version of a Spanish series. She was then chosen for the role of Valeria in the series Major, which aired on Channel One in 2014. She became visible in Russia through television series and in Turkey through Elveda Katya, whose premiere, attended by Kadir İnanır, was held in December 2012.
