Aleyna Tilki — Biography

Aleyna Tilki was born in Konya in March 2000; her mother is from the Of district of Trabzon, and her father comes from a family of Russian origin. At fourteen she reached the semi-final of season six of Yetenek Sizsiniz Türkiye with a performance of "Gesi Bağları." She gained nationwide recognition in August 2016 as the vocalist on Emrah Karaduman's Cevapsız Çınlama, whose video became one of the most-viewed music clips ever released by a Turkish act. Her debut solo single, Sen Olsan Bari, came out in July 2017 and reached number one on the charts.

In 2019 she released Yalnız Çiçek with Emrah Karaduman and the Cornetto jingle Nasılsın Aşkta, and became the first Turkish singer to sign with Warner Music Group. She agreed to a project with Acun Ilıcalı's Exxen platform, sharing the lead in İşte Bu Benim Masalım, which premiered in 2021, the same period she released her first English single, Retrograde. She put out her debut studio album, Kırlar, on 19-22 August 2025 and submitted it for a Grammy in the best global music album category, though it was not nominated. In December 2025 she was detained in Istanbul as part of a drug investigation and released the same day; her lawyer has stated the process is still ongoing.
