Aksel Bonfil — Biography

Actor and screenwriter Aksel Bonfil was born on April 19, 1989, in İzmir and graduated from the Film and Television Department at İstanbul Bilgi University. Before turning to acting, he built his early career as a screenwriter; a friendship with Demet Akbağ formed during his student years drew him into the industry, and he had his first on-screen experience in a production alongside Güven Kıraç and Akbağ. Bonfil has named veteran actor-director Yılmaz Erdoğan as the person who truly shaped his craft, and went on to write scripts for series including Söz, Aşk Laftan Anlamaz, Seviyor Sevmiyor, Güneşi Beklerken and Çok Güzel Hareketler Bunlar, work that earned him the Adana Golden Boll Award. He has directed two films to date and has taken part in roughly fifteen productions as either writer or performer.

He made his on-screen acting debut through the program Çok Güzel Hareketler Bunlar, later appearing in the films Kelebeğin Rüyası and Deliha 2. On television, he played the character Demir Erdem in the series Kocaman Ailem, broadcast on ATV.
