Zafer Yelen — Biography

Zafer Yelen is a Turkish footballer born on 30 August 1986 in West Berlin. He came through the youth ranks of Hansa Rostock in Germany and also represented Turkey at youth national-team level during that period.

Over the course of his career he played for German clubs such as MSV Normannia 08 as well as clubs in Turkey; his name became linked to a long-running contractual dispute with Trabzonspor that, after roughly a decade in the courts, was reported to have been resolved in 2023.
