Yusuf Akçiçek — Biography
Born on 25 January 2006 in the Bakırköy district of Istanbul, Yusuf Akçiçek is a left-footed centre-back. Having come through Fenerbahçe's youth academy and risen through Turkey's junior national teams to the senior side, he stood out for his technical ability and his versatility to play as a left-back in three-man defensive systems; in 2025, after Fenerbahçe's 3–0 Europa League win over Anderlecht, he was praised by manager José Mourinho.
Standing 1.93 metres tall, Akçiçek currently plays for Saudi Pro League club Al-Hilal. In the summer of 2026 the young defender was frequently linked with a return to Turkey, with both Fenerbahçe and Galatasaray reportedly interested, and he also made headlines by buying his mother the summer house she had long dreamed of.
