Yüksel Şanlı — Biography

Yüksel Şanlı, born on 14 November 1973, is a retired Turkish freestyle wrestler who later became a coach. He represented Turkey at the 1996 Atlanta and 2000 Sydney Summer Olympics, finishing 15th and 9th respectively.

Şanlı wore the national jersey at the World Wrestling Championships in 1994, 1995, 1997 and 1999, taking bronze at the 1999 edition. He also won gold at the 1998 European Wrestling Championship and gold medals at both the 1997 and 2001 Mediterranean Games. After his competitive career, he moved into wrestling coaching.
