Yücel İldiz — Biography

Yücel İldiz, born in Adana in June 1953, is a former Turkish footballer and a UEFA Pro Licence-holding manager. He began his coaching path at İskenderunspor and over the years took charge of dozens of Turkish clubs.

At Orduspor he once led the team to a perfect record over a full stretch of matches on the way to promotion, and he repeated similar feats later at Malatyaspor and Kardemir Karabükspor, guiding both clubs to championships and a step up in division. In 2018 he took over at Denizlispor and won a league title with that club as well, then managed Altay in 2020. He is counted among the small number of managers to have taken a team up a division on four separate occasions in Turkish football. In June 2026 he was among the former players and coaches who gathered with students at an event held in İskenderun.
