Yılmaz Urul — Biography
Yılmaz Urul was born on 8 February 1942 in the Eyüp district of Istanbul. A goalkeeper, he began his career at İstanbulspor and made his first appearance on 15 October 1960, in a 2-1 Millî Lig defeat against Altay.
He played for the Turkey national team between 1964 and 1965; sources put his number of caps at either three or four.
Urul died on 4 January 2025 at the age of 82. Turkish outlets including Hürriyet, NTV and NTV Spor reported his death under headlines calling him a former international goalkeeper. He was buried at the Eski Topkapı Cemetery.
