Yılmaz Şen — Biography
Yılmaz Şen was born on 26 October 1943 in Istanbul and began his football career with İstanbulspor, where he played between 1962 and 1965. He then moved to Fenerbahçe, where he spent the next decade of his career as a defender known for his tough, man-marking style of play — a reputation that earned him the nickname "Jilet Yılmaz" ("Yılmaz the Blade") early on, though in his later years he became better known as "Çarli". He served as team captain at times and became one of the most-capped players in Fenerbahçe's Süper Lig history, while also earning 18 caps for the Turkish national team.
After retiring as a player, Şen went on to work as a football manager. He died in Istanbul on 14 July 1992.
