Yıldo — Biography
Ahmet Yıldırım Benayyat (born 18 October 1945), known simply as Yıldo, is a Turkish showman, television host, actor and former athlete. Most sources place his birth in Ereğli, a district of Konya province, while some records list only Konya. He studied at Marmara University.
Before television he competed in two sports, playing football — reportedly for clubs including Galatasaray and Boluspor — as well as volleyball. After leaving sport he moved into broadcasting and made his name as a talk-show host and occasional television actor.
During the 1990s he was regarded as one of the most unconventional faces on Turkish television, remembered for a presenting style built on talking face to face with his studio audience. He returned to the screen with a new programme in 2018; around the same period his reunion with Kenan Doğulu and Ozan Doğulu, whom he calls his adoptive sons, and his changed look were both covered by the Turkish entertainment press.
