Yeliz Şar — Biography

Yeliz Şar, born Lara Yeliz Şar in Germany, is an actress who has worked in Turkish television drama for more than twenty years. She first reached a wide audience as Melike in the series Kollama, and later appeared in productions such as Dürüye'nin Güğümleri and İşler Güçler. More recently she played the character Sezen in Kismet.

Her career began in 2001 when she played Lara in Aşkına Eşkıya, a series led by Alişan and Hande Kazanova. In her early years she took on a range of characters in series including Kardelen, Rabia, İyi Saatte Olsunlar, Kalp Gözü, Sensiz Olmuyor and Sev Kardeşim, followed by parts in Yaprak Dökümü, Limon Ağacı and Oyun Bitti. Between 2008 and 2010 Melike in Kollama made her name, and she then played Nimet in Dürüye'nin Güğümleri. In 2012 she made her stage debut in the play Canlı Yayın, which drew considerable attention, and that summer she played Tülay in Star TV's İşler Güçler. She then appeared in the films Çakma Hayat and Öğrenci İşleri, and in 2018 was seen as Defne for six episodes of FOX's Yasak Elma.

She studied tourism and hotel management at Marmara University. She married Tolga Güleç in 2013 and the couple divorced in 2017. In April 2023 she lost her mother and spoke publicly about how hard the loss was for her.
