Yaşar Alpaslan — Biography

Born on 23 March 1914 in Istanbul, the son of Fehmi Bey, Yaşar Alpaslan was a Turkish defender and international footballer. He began playing while studying at İstanbul Lisesi, joining İstanbulspor, before a brief spell at Hilâl in which he never appeared in a match.

He joined Fenerbahçe in 1932, starting out in the club's B team before being promoted to the first team. His long service there has led Fenerbahçe fan and club circles to regard him as one of the important figures in the club's history. He was part of the Turkish national team at the 1936 Summer Olympics in Berlin.

Yaşar Alpaslan died in Istanbul in 1995.
