Yalçın Koşukavak is a former semi-professional goalkeeper who turned to coaching and, in recent years, has mostly managed teams in the Turkish First League. Since June 2026 he has been in charge of Muğlaspor.
His playing years were spent at Yeni Turgutluspor, Batman Petrolspor, Şanlıurfaspor, Boluspor and Altınordu, and he retired at 33. He began coaching in 2013 at Karacabey Belediyespor, moved to Altay in 2015 and left five months later. He spent three seasons at İstanbulspor, winning 59 of 114 matches, before leaving in June 2018. He signed for Gaziantepspor that summer and resigned four months later, took over Bursaspor in July 2019 and left in December, and returned to Altay in February 2020, taking 6 wins and 5 draws from 12 games. In December 2020 he agreed to coach Süper Lig side Denizlispor and resigned in January 2021. He also managed Kayserispor and had an interim spell at Göztepe.
In 2023-24 he took over Boluspor in the third week of the season and with 17 wins in 35 matches took them to the play-offs on the final weekend, where they lost to Bodrum FK. He then resigned from Iğdır FK in December 2024, with the side fifth in the table, after a Turkish Cup defeat to Muşspor. At Ankara Keçiörengücü his side went out of the 2025-26 play-offs on penalties, and he parted ways with the club in June 2026.
