Volkan Okumak — Biography

Volkan Okumak was born on 10 August 1989 in the German town of Kamen. Holding both Turkish and German citizenship, he operates as a left-sided midfielder and built the bulk of his professional career in Turkey after starting out in Germany. Wearing the Kayseri Erciyesspor shirt, he stepped onto a Süper Lig pitch for the first time on 16 August 2013.

Giresunspor brought him in during 2016, and he remained with the club for three seasons until an injury in February 2018 cut that season short. He put on the Manisa Büyükşehir Belediyespor shirt in 2019, then linked up with Giresunspor again a year later. Later in his career he returned to Germany, where he carried on playing for Iserlohn.
