Volkan Kahraman — Biography
Volkan Kahraman (10 October 1979, Vienna – 8 February 2023, Vienna) was an Austrian footballer, coach and politician of Turkish descent. A midfielder, he was also capped by the Austria national team.
His club career included Austria Wien, Feyenoord, Red Bull Salzburg, LASK and Skoda Xanthi, as well as Trabzonspor and Erzurumspor in Turkey. After retiring from playing he moved into coaching and entered politics, joining the ÖVP in 2017.
He was shot dead in Vienna on 8 February 2023 by a former associate.
