Volkan Dikmen — Biography

Volkan Dikmen is a German-born Turkish footballer of Kurdish-Alevi heritage, born on 14 October 1991 in Berlin and holding dual Turkish-German citizenship. He came up through Hertha BSC's youth academy and was promoted to the club's reserve side in 2009; although linked with moves to Istanbul clubs Galatasaray and Fenerbahçe, he instead returned to Turkey in January 2010 to sign an 18-month contract with Kayserispor, making his professional debut as a second-half substitute against Eskişehirspor on 14 March 2010.

After his spell at Kayserispor, Dikmen moved to Karabükspor in 2011, and in later years he went on to play for second-tier side Amed.
