Veysel Cihan — Biography
Veysel Cihan is a retired Turkish professional footballer born on 4 February 1976 in the Avanos district of Nevşehir. Standing 1.86 meters tall, the striker played for clubs including Antalyaspor, Boluspor, Denizlispor, Gaziantepspor, Gençlerbirliği and Konyaspor, and made four appearances for the Turkey national team.
Wherever possible he wore the number 50, a nod to his hometown Nevşehir's license-plate code, and was known as 'Maradona Veysel' during his time at Denizlispor and as 'Reis' at Antalyaspor. After his playing career ended he moved into coaching, taking on the role of assistant coach at Boluspor in 2015.
