Veli Acar — Biography
Veli Acar (born 30 August 1981 in Kelekçi, in the Acıpayam district of Denizli Province) is a Turkish former professional footballer who played as a wingback.
He spent long years with Denizlispor, where he also served as team captain. He extended his contract with the club for a further season in 2017 and returned to the Denizlispor squad again in 2018 and 2020; his playing career became closely identified with the club of his home region.
In a 2008 interview with the Turkish Football Federation he summed up his career by saying he had made good use of his chance.
