Ünal Demirkıran — Biography

Ünal Demirkıran was born on 24 June 1979 in Neu-Ulm, Germany, and built a career as an attacking midfielder reflecting his Turkish-German background. He turned professional in 1998 with SSV Ulm Amateure and subsequently played for a string of German lower-league clubs, including SSV Ulm, VfR Aalen, SSV Reutlingen, 1. FC Heidenheim and its reserve side, FV Illertissen and its reserves, and TSG Thannhausen.

His career also took him to Turkey, where he had a spell with Süper Lig club Sivasspor. Later on he joined TSV Neu-Ulm, taking on a dual role there as both a player and the team's manager.
