Umut Değer Tohumcu is a German professional footballer of Turkish descent, born on 11 August 2004 in Offenburg, Germany. Standing 1.75 meters tall, the midfielder began his career at Bundesliga club TSG 1899 Hoffenheim and has represented Germany at various youth national team levels.
Although frequently linked with a move to Galatasaray in late 2025, Tohumcu instead joined Holstein Kiel on loan from Hoffenheim in January 2026. His strong performances there reportedly attracted interest from Italian club Torino.
