Umut Meraş — Biography
Umut Meraş was born on 20 December 1995 in Istanbul's Eminönü district. Standing 1.78 m tall, he plays as a left-back and has represented Turkey's national team during his career, in addition to spells with several Süper Lig clubs including Beşiktaş. By his own account, he was not called up to the national team again after his move to Beşiktaş.
In July 2026, Meraş left Beşiktaş to join Amed Sportif Faaliyetler (Amedspor) on a two-year deal, citing the club's stature and his wife's encouragement as key factors behind the move.
