Ümit Akdağ is a defender born on 6 October 2003 in Bucharest, holding both Turkish and Romanian citizenship. Standing 1.82 m tall, the centre-back has spent most of his career at Süper Lig side Alanyaspor, with loan spells along the way at France's Toulouse FC and İzmir club Göztepe.
He has also represented Romania at under-21 level. In the summer of 2026 he became one of the most talked-about names in Turkish football's transfer market, linked with Galatasaray, Beşiktaş, Trabzonspor and Fenerbahçe, while Alanyaspor reportedly turned down an offer from Başakşehir.
