Uğur Çiftçi — Biography
Uğur Çiftçi, born on 4 May 1992 in Sivas, is a 1.79-metre Turkish footballer who plays as a left-back. He began his professional career in Gençlerbirliği's youth ranks, went on loan to third-tier side Hacettepe for the 2011-2012 season, and was brought back into the Gençlerbirliği squad at the start of 2013-2014.
Later in his career he joined Sivasspor, where he went on to captain the team. He underwent surgery in October 2025 and came through an injury spell in February 2026; in April 2026 he issued an apology to supporters, and by July 2026 he spoke of his hopes for a strong start to the new season.
As of 2026 he continues to play as captain of Süper Lig side Sivasspor.
