Tuğçe Güder — Biography

Born in Sudan and adopted as an infant by a Turkish family, Tuğçe Güder (b. 1984) rose to prominence as a model after winning a beauty contest while studying at Boğaziçi University. In 2005 she was chosen Best Model of Turkey and went on to represent the country at the Best Model of the World pageant, becoming recognized as one of Turkey's first Black models.

Alongside her modeling career, she took a small role opposite Cem Yılmaz in the 2004 film G.O.R.A. In 2008 she married restaurant owner Uğur Karas, adopting the surname Karas, and became a mother shortly afterward. Over the years she has supported various charitable causes aimed at raising awareness for neglected children.

Her search for the biological family that left her at a cemetery as a baby has repeatedly drawn media attention over the years and continues to be a subject of public interest.
