Tuğçe Canıtez — Biography
Tuğçe Canıtez was born on 10 November 1990 in the Konak district of İzmir and built her career as a 1.90 m (6 ft 3 in) power forward. Before turning professional in Turkey, she played college basketball in the United States for North Idaho College and Westmount College.
She spent much of her professional career with Fenerbahçe, renewing her contract with the club in 2020, before later moving on to Hatay Büyükşehir Belediyespor and then Galatasaray. On 29 August 2023, she announced her retirement from professional basketball.
Canıtez also represented the Turkish national team, featuring in the squad at the 2012 Olympic qualifying tournament and helping the team win bronze at the 2013 EuroBasket Women in France.
