Tuğba Yurt — Biography

Tuğba Yurt is a singer who carried a classical music education onto the Turkish pop stage. She reached a wide audience in 2014 with a new version of Sertab Erener's "Sakin Ol", made with Doğukan Manço; its video has been watched more than 100 million times on YouTube. In recent years she has been working largely with the Sezen Aksu repertoire: in 2026 she was the vocalist of the "Senfonik Sezen Aksu" concert at Harbiye Açıkhava in Istanbul.

Born in Belgium because of her father's work, Yurt returned to Turkey with her family at eight months old and settled in Gemlik, in Bursa Province. From the age of eleven she studied Western classical music at the Uludağ University State Conservatory and played viola in the Bursa Symphony Orchestra. Her first release was the five-song Aşk'a Emanet in December 2013, with a video for "Ağır Yaralı". She followed it with singles including "Aşk Sanmışız", "Oh Oh", written by Sezen Aksu, "Aklımda Sorular Var", "Güç Bende Artık" and "Destur", and then "İnceden İnceden", "Yine Sev Yine" and "Masal" in 2017 and 2018. Her first studio album, Sığınak, came out in November 2019.

In 2026 she also released a duet, "İçiyorum Ederimize", with İkilem, and her summer calendar included a concert in Kastamonu and the Cebel Günleri Festival.
