Tolga Mendi — Biography
Born on March 23, 1993, in Adana, Tolga Mendi graduated from Ismail Safa Ozler Anatolian High School and went on to study construction engineering at Cukurova University; coming from a religious family, his decision to pursue acting initially met with resistance at home, but he went on to complete two terms of acting training.
He made his screen debut in 2015 with the Show TV series Aci Ask and later appeared in Fox TV's Ruzgarin Kalbi, before becoming widely known for playing Hazar Bozok in the 2017 series Yeni Gelin; in 2020 he took the lead role of Selim Kutlusay in Sol Yanim. He has continued his career with a role in Asirlik Gece, a TRT 1 production centered on the July 15 coup attempt.
In the summer of 2026, Mendi proposed to his longtime partner, Survivor contestant Damla Can, after seven years together, and she accepted; the couple's long relationship has made them a frequent subject of celebrity press coverage.
