Rising Sun (Yükselen Güneş)

Rising Sun is a 1993 American thriller directed by Philip Kaufman, who co-wrote the screenplay with Michael Crichton and Michael Backes, adapting Crichton's 1992 novel of the same name. Sean Connery, who also served as executive producer, stars alongside Wesley Snipes, Harvey Keitel and Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa, with Tia Carrere and Steve Buscemi in supporting roles.

The story follows the turmoil caused by a murder committed during a period of Japanese-American business negotiations. Released by 20th Century Fox on July 30, 1993, the film received negative reviews but grossed $107.2 million worldwide against a $40 million budget.
