WAX: We Are the X

WAX: We Are the X is an Italian thriller drama written and directed by Lorenzo Corvino, representing his feature debut behind the camera. The production stands out for being filmed largely through the protagonist's own eyes, in a first-person style, with shooting carried out across Rome, Monaco, and the French Riviera.

Gwendolyn Gourvenec, Davide Paganini, and Jacopo Maria Bicocchi take the leading roles, supported by veteran performer Rutger Hauer. Jean-Marc Barr also appears, portraying Jean-Christophe Touchalier.

Following its release, the picture drew attention on the international festival circuit and collected the Best Foreign Language Film prize at the London International Filmmaker Festival of World Cinema. Corvino's work further earned him a Best Debut Director nomination at Italy's prestigious David di Donatello Awards.
