Vallanzasca - Angels of Evil

Directed by Michele Placido, this 2010 Italian crime film recounts the life of Renato Vallanzasca, the Milanese bank robber whose audacious heists in the 1970s turned him into a notorious, charismatic playboy gangster. The story draws on journalist Carlo Bonini's biography "Il fiore del male. Bandito a Milano". Kim Rossi Stuart stars as Vallanzasca, supported by Moritz Bleibtreu, Filippo Timi, Paz Vega and Valeria Solarino. An Italian-French-Romanian co-production, the film premiered at the Venice Film Festival in September 2010 before its theatrical release, tracing Vallanzasca's rise through Milan's underworld and the criminal career that made him a legendary figure in Italy.
