Wrong Rosary (Uzak İhtimal)

Wrong Rosary (Uzak İhtimal) is a 2009 Turkish drama that marked Mahmut Fazıl Coşkun's feature directing debut, released in Turkey on 9 October 2009.

The story follows Musa, a young muezzin who arrives in Istanbul from the countryside and takes up work at a mosque in Galata, living in its annex. From the moment he sees Clara, a novice nun living in the apartment across from his, he is drawn to her, trying to speak with her and quietly following her through the neighborhood. Along the way he meets Yakup, an Istanbul bookseller from an aristocratic family who is searching for the daughter born of a woman he lived with years earlier. The lives of these three very different people intertwine in the historic district, and an unspoken affection becomes the emotional core of the film.

The film won the Golden Tiger at the Rotterdam Film Festival, becoming the first Turkish production to receive a prize there. It also screened in the Istanbul International Film Festival program and competed in the national feature competition of the Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival. Nadir Sarıbacak and Görkem Yeltan star.
